PW mvt only - New York Watch Co, Serial #6, Springfield, 19J, 19S with 45.7mm dial plate diameter, HC model mvt, white enamel DS dial, SW-SS, fully capped lever escapement, wolf's tooth winding, gilt mvt, s#6. The "Springfield" grade was New York Watch Co.'s top quality early product, and the present piece is the lowest serial numbered surviving example we are aware of. Currently in need of skilled restoration but very much deserving of the effort as single-digit serial numbered American watches are truly rare.
CONDITION:
Mvt: NR, fully wound, setting mechanism untested, likely broken balance staff, missing center wheel arbor, missing steel escutcheon and square above center wheel arbor, missing screw which secures hairspring stud, broken fourth wheel arbor, a partial disassembly reveals matching s#6 on underside of balance cock and underside of balance wheel spar (arm), no visible s# to visible portion of pillar plate when dial was removed, overhaul needed, fine cosmetic mvt condition overall, wolf's tooth winding wheels with all teeth intact, spot on plate near fourth wheel jewel setting, gilt plates with darkened tone, some scattered fine to micro-fine scratches and lesser surface spots, balance jewel setting a likely replacement as it is recessed a bit from surrounding plane of jewel setting pocket, missing a screw from lever jewel setting, escape wheel jewel setting with one screw missing half its head; dial with chips to center section bordering the seconds-register, some scattered edge flakes and small chips, some scattered hls, seconds-register has been re-secured and is out of index; hands are missing, seconds-hand post (fourth wheel arbor) is missing.

A rare and desirable variant of this top grade Hamilton Movement. The "A.N. Anderson of Minneapolis, Minnesota on August 1st, 1910.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running after a twist to start, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, balance cock foot with a scratch from its screw extending to its edge, surfaces with typical mild fine to micro-fine scratches elsewhere, main plate with light ultra-fine scratch striations from past wiping(s), one barrel bridge screw is a smaller sized replacement, visible portion of cannon pinion and center arbor on dial side with rust; dial with scattered hls and fractures, vertical scratch to upper portion of center section that crosses signature near its midpoint, small edge nick near 12; poor hands, hour and minute with significant rust, minute with fractured center hub, seconds-hand with ample oxide.
