DESCRIPTION:
PW mvt only - Bovet, quarter-hour repeater with day-date calendar, 51mm dial plate diameter, white enamel dial with secret "Bovet, No.483" signature below 12 evident in reflected light, KWKS (key not included with this lot), ruby cylinder escapement, likely 11J, parachute shock and compensation curb system, gilt mvt, s#483 to dial's secret signature.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Started running when wound but hands coming to a stop at 6 when clockwise setting is attempted and mvt stopping running at this point, no setting beyond this should be attempted until underlying issue is identified and resolved, repeat function typically returning a correct number of hour strikes but quarter-hour strikes are often incomplete as mechanism stalls without completion, calendar function unknown, overhaul needed, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, few small fine scratches; dial with fracture between 11:30 and 6, edge chips/chipping at 3, 5, 9 and near 11, some perimeter scratches in areas outside minute chapter; minute hand is missing, other hands excellent, few spots of oxide to hour.
