DESCRIPTION: LPW - Dent, 61 Strand, London, Watchmaker to the Queen, lever fusee, 40mm, 18K gold original consular HC bearing London hallmarks for 1865, incuse "W.F" marking possibly for casemaker William Francis, white enamel dial, KWKS, lever escapement with capped escape wheel, 11J, diamond endstone, gilt mvt, s#31668 with matching serial number to dial and within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 38.9 dwt (60.5 g).
CONDITION: Mvt: NR, occasionally ticks for a few seconds and then stops again, overhaul needed, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous plates with few short micro-fine scratches; flawless dial; nearly mint hands; case shows very light wear, no dents or dings, engraving detail with mild reduction which is most evident at shoulders; tight bow; good glass crystal.

DESCRIPTION: LPW - Wright & Craighead, mvt marked "English Lever, Compensated, C.S.S.A.L.," 37mm, 18K gold OF original case with very attractive engraving detail, .30 ctw diamond set at central rear in applied raised gold setting which was soldered on at a later date, case bearing London hallmarks for 1900, "J R" marking in diamond shaped cameo for casemaker John Rotherham, gold cuvette, small 14K gold clasp attached to bow, gold dial with attractive floral engraving detail at center, SW-pin-set, fully capped lever escapement, 19J, gilt mvt, s#10679. Gross weight of assembled watch 30.2 dwt (46.8 g).
CONDITION: Mvt: NR, fully wound, will tick briefly with a twist or tick continuously with a twist and some excess pressure held at crown, overhaul needed, fine cosmetic mvt condition overall, some haze and smudges to gilt surface; dial with some mild fine scratches, some small bits of enamel loss to hour numerals; poor hands are rusted; case shows hardly any wear, no dents or dings, superb crisp engraving detail; tight bow, crown shows very little wear; yellowed plastic crystal with scratches and abrasions should be replaced.

Ekegren, Copenhagen, 38mm, 18K gold original case appears to have originally been HC style that has had its front cut out and replaced with a glaze for OF style display, signed gold cuvette also bearing J.E. Caldwell & Co, Philadelphia retailer marking as well as Jan. 31st, 1873 date, white enamel SS dial, SW-button-set, fully capped lever escapement with counterpoise, 20J, wolf's tooth winding, fausses-côtes pattern nickel damascene, s#15733 within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 33.4 dwt (52.0 g). Comes with a fitted leather box marked internally with "Guggenbühl-Merian, Horlogerie Bijouterie, Bale."
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, fine cosmetic mvt condition overall, scattered fine scratches, plates with some overall hazing and scattered spots; dial with blue colored hl near 5; excellent hands; case with broken or missing front lift springs, case shows medium wear, fine scratches, mild ding to band at 5:30, reduced engine turning detail with loss at shoulder; tight bow, crown shows little wear; glass crystal with scratches and abrasions. Leather box shows ample wear, staining, scratches and abrasions to exterior, interior with fabric loss over joint area.

Gross weight of assembled watch 29.1 dwt (45.4 g).
CONDITION: Mvt: NR, ticking when dial down and stopping when dial up, overhaul needed, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, scattered short scratches and fine scratches; dial with small edge chips under bezel at 5:30 and 9, small edge flakes under bezel at 4, fading of 11 and 12 numerals; fine hands of mismatched color, hour and minute are plum colored, seconds-hand is blue; case shows very little wear, dent to lower perimeter of front adjacent hinge area, some dings or nicks to band between 2 and 4, excellent engraving detail, polychrome enamel portrait is fully intact with surface scratches, green guilloche enamel is virtually fully intact to front and rear with surface scratches and only a small flake of loss at upper rear portion, black tracery enamel is nearly fully lost from front with only some small bits remaining intact, black tracery enamel to rear is mostly intact with some portions of loss, one diamond is missing from woman's necklace in portrait, bezel is brass; tight brassy bow, push shows light wear; good glass crystal.
