Mvt: Will run with pressure applied to the great wheel, but the fusee is currently frozen and cannot be wound, a typical occurrence when the old shark or whale oil hardens up on the internal fusee clicks, needs OH, shows good balance motion and escapement function, plates show fine gilding, may clean to higher grade, little oxide on steel components; dial with faint hl from 4 to 5, flake at center hole; hands excellent; original outer case shows very light wear, few MFS, one slight flat dent at base of back, no dings; button latch good, the button top pushed in slightly; original inner case shows less wear, fewer MFS, no dents or dings, nicely engraved "SL" monogram; bow & pendant original, the bow slightly bent and the through-hole worn creating some play; good domed glass crystal. A splendid example of a bona fide Colonial American watch from a company known to be importers as such.
